Are you ready?

Applicants must:

  • Be 15-18 years of age, at time of camp.

  • Have completed 10th or 11th grade, at time of camp.

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and above.

  • Have NO criminal record.

    • Check your record online through WATCH.​

  • Be healthy and capable of strenuous exercise and stress.​

  • Be interested in a Criminal Justice career path.

Our application is not hard, but it takes time.

  • Principal or school admin signature

  • Two teacher recommendations

  • Law Enforcement reference

  • Health Statement with physican/provider signature

  • Parent/Guardian release

  • Short Essay

Step 2: Collect Documents, Signatures, and Write Essay

Don't over think it! Keep the essay short and to the point.

 

That said, don't wait!

 

Collecting signatures, recommendations, and medical release takes time.

Step 3: Submit Your Documents

You are welcome to take pictures and email the pages, or drop everything in the mail to the address on the application.

Double check yourself! You can send several emails, just make sure you send us everything!

Step 4: Pay Your Application Fee

Pay Application Fee

Your are responsible for the $50 application fee.

If you are not selected, you will receive a $25 refund.

Step 5: Acceptance/
Non-Acceptance

Next Steps

You will receive an email stating your acceptance/non-acceptance.

If you are not accepted, we will refund you $25.

 

Juniors, please apply again next year! There are space constraints in our program.

Step 6: Work with Local Kiwanis Group

Local Kiwanis Sponsorship

Upon acceptance, we will help you connect with your local Kiwanis club to receive a club sponsorship for the program.

​

No student is denied acceptance due to financial circumstances. Through the combined support of local Kiwanis Clubs and KYLEC, every student is ensured this opportunity.
