Experience Law Enforcement–
Up Close and In Action!

Explore the world of law enforcement at the PNW Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp, hosted at the Washington State Patrol Academy in Shelton, Washington.

This program is open to students entering their junior or senior year during the 2026–27 school year (current sophomores and juniors) who have a strong interest in pursuing a career in law

enforcement.

 

This is a hands-on camp experience. Participants take part in defensive tactics training, driving courses, firearms judgment simulations, and more—designed to give you a real look at the wide range of opportunities available in law enforcement.

About KYLEC

In our 45th year, the KYLEC program has supported youth exploring careers in law enforcement. About 80% of our participants go on to be a LEO.

What to Expect

This is not your average classroom! Hands on experience gives you the opportunity to test yourself as part of a team, as well as an individual.

The Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp is a 501(c)3 registered organization in Washington State. The Board appreciates personal, corporate or community service organization donations. Donations will be acknowledged and be used to support scholarships for students to attend future Camps.
